After signing up, once you get your new US Global Mail address, your mail should be re-directed via USPS to your new USGM address. Otherwise, you will not get any mail at your new address.
To start this process, you can:
1. Notify your senders of the new address:
If you do not want all mail to be forwarded to the new address, this option gives you the flexibility of choosing what mail to receive there.
Make sure to share the correct address including your personal mailbox number. You can find your address in your account in the bottom left corner:
2. File a Change of Address
If you want to receive all your mail at the new address, you can file a change of address with USPS.
This USPS Form 3575 is part of the USPS Mover's Guide packet and is available at all US post offices as well as online. Form 3575 is different from Form 1583 which authorizes us to receive your mail on your behalf. Learn more.
To ensure delivery, it is important to complete your change of address form accurately and completely. You can copy and paste your US Global address to your form. Note that no special characters such as # are allowed. PMB in your address stands for 'personal mail box'.
So if your box number was 19, the first line of the address should be exactly like this:
1321 Upland Drive PMB 19
It can take the USPS up to 10 business days to process a change of address, so there will be a delay before you begin to see mail in your US Global Mail account.
A change of address is effective for one year, so please make sure to notify senders before it expires. For magazines and newspaper, you have 60 days to inform your new address.
While a change of address form can be used to redirect your mail to US Global Mail, USPS regulations prohibit using the change of address process to change away from any Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (such as US Global Mail). This means that when you do need to move away from US Global Mail, you will need to contact each of your senders and provide them with your new address.
