Why do I need to provide ID?
If you're setting this up for yourself: USPS requires 2 forms of ID from anyone receiving mail at a virtual address — whether you're a founder managing company mail, an expat living overseas, or just need a US address for personal use.
If you're setting this up for your company: USPS regulations require us to verify whoever opens the account — even if you're not getting personal mail. Think of it like opening a business bank account: someone has to be the authorized signatory.
Your ID is just for account verification. We can still receive mail for:
All your company names (no extra ID needed)
Any employees/family you add as recipients (they'll provide their own ID)
You personally (if you want personal mail too)
