Yes. A form signed in error can be reissued. You do not lose your place and there is no charge.
The most common cause
Most customers who report this clicked Submit before drawing their signature in the signature box, so the form was submitted blank. Others signed on a phone where the signature box did not respond to touch.
What to do
Reply to your Form 1583 email or open support chat and tell us:
The name on the form that needs reissuing (if your mailbox has several recipients).
That the signature did not register.
We will regenerate the form and send a fresh signature request. It usually arrives the same business day.
Before you sign again
Draw your signature in the box and check it appears before you submit.
On a phone or tablet, use your finger rather than a stylus if the box does not respond.
If the signature box will not accept input at all, try a desktop browser.
What if the form has the wrong information on it?
If the problem is not the signature but the content — a wrong home address, a misspelled name, an incorrect mailbox-open date — do not sign it. See: The information on my regenerated Form 1583 is wrong.
Does this reset my deadline?
No. Your original 30-day window continues to run, so ask for the reissue as soon as you notice. If your deadline is close, say so when you contact us.
