I already completed my Form 1583 update — why do I keep getting reminders?

If you have signed and uploaded everything and you are still receiving reminder emails, one of these is usually the reason.

1. Your documents are still in review

Uploads are reviewed by our compliance team, normally within 2-3 business day. Until a document is approved, the request stays open and the reminder schedule continues.

2. Only part of the request is complete

The Form 1583 update has two separate parts, and finishing one does not close the other:

  • Documents — uploading your photo ID and address ID.

  • Signature — signing the regenerated Form 1583.

If you uploaded your IDs but have not signed the new form, the reminder continues. Open Action Required in your account to see exactly which part is still open.

3. Another person on your mailbox still has an open item

Every adult recipient (not a team member who manages the mail with you) on your mailbox needs their own two IDs and their own signature. If one of the listed recipients has not completed theirs, the account-level reminders continue even though your own items are done. The Action Required page lists each recipient separately.

How to check your real status

  1. Open Action Required from the left menu.

  2. If the page is empty, you have nothing outstanding — any further reminder already in flight can be ignored.

If Action Needed is empty but you are still receiving emails more than two business days later, reply to this article's chat and we will check the account directly.
