What is the Action Required page and what do I do there?

Action Required is where your account shows anything that requires you to act. If a red indicator appears in your account, this is where to go.

Finding it

Sign in at inbox.usglobalmail.com and open Action Required from the left menu. It appears when you have at least one open item.

What appears there

Signature requests. A Form 1583 has been regenerated for one of your recipients and is waiting for your signature. Each recipient is listed separately.

Document requests. We need a new or replacement ID for a recipient. Reasons include an ID that has expired or is about to, an ID type USPS no longer accepts, a document that could not be read clearly, or details that do not match the account.

Missing account details. A phone number, company address needed to complete the form.

Each item names the recipient it belongs to, so a mailbox with several people shows several items. All of them must be cleared — one open item keeps the account non-compliant.

Clearing an item

Open the item and follow the prompt — upload a document, sign the form, or supply the missing detail. Uploaded documents are reviewed within about 2- 3 business day. Items disappear from the page once resolved.

When the page is empty

An empty Action Required page means nothing is outstanding. If you are still receiving reminder emails, see I already completed my Form 1583 update — why do I keep getting reminders?

What happens if you leave items open

  • Day 0 — we request the update and the countdown starts.

  • Day 30 — the mailbox goes on USPS Compliance Hold. Newly arriving mail is quarantined and cannot be scanned, forwarded or opened.

  • Day 60 — quarantined mail is returned to sender or discarded, and recipients other than the primary account holder are removed from the mailbox.

Clearing every open item releases the hold and restores quarantined mail.
