Once you're signed up and verified, and you’ve completed all activation steps including Form 1583 submission and approval, your mailbox is ready for action. Here’s what to do to make sure your mail gets delivered, scanned, and shipped—seamlessly.
1. Let People Know Where to Find You
Tell your senders your new USGM address (including your box number).
And file a Change of Address USPS form to automatically forward mail to your new virtual mailbox.
Note: We cannot complete a USPS change of address for you as this is considered mail fraud.
2. Complete the 1583 Form (USPS Requirement)
To receive letters, packages, or have anything opened/scanned, USPS requires you to submit a notarized Form 1583. You can fill and download the pre-filled form directly from your USGM account. Learn more When all required Form 1583 documents for the listed recipients are approved by USGM, you’ll receive a confirmation that your account is fully activated and ready to receive mail.
No form means; no access. If we get mail for an unverified recipient, it goes to your Quarantine section. We’ll notify you—but we can’t release it until the 1583 is complete. If you have multiple recipients on your account, ensure each individual completes their own Form 1583, as incomplete forms will delay the activation process.
3. Make Sure Your Mail Is Properly Addressed
Mail must include:
✅ An approved recipient (on your account)
✅ Your mailbox number
If it doesn’t, it becomes a Lookup Item—delayed while we try to match the recipient.
If there are multiple customers with the same recipient? The item may be returned to sender.
4. Schedule Deliveries During Business Hours
We accept packages Monday–Friday, 8AM–6PM CST.
Avoid weekend deliveries—shippers may leave boxes outside, and we can’t be responsible for items left unattended.
⏰ If a delivery attempt happens outside business hours, you’ll likely receive an undeliverable message from the shipper.

Note: we do not accept freight shipments and cannot offer pick up from the warehouse for the same.
