General guidelines:
- At least one ID must be a government-issued photo ID
- ID's lacking both a photo and address are not acceptable.
Primary or Photo ID's that are acceptable:
- U.S. Government ID: U.S. Government ID may be federal, state, or tribal issued. You may provide the following:
- An identification card issued by a federally or state-recognized tribal nation (tribal identification card).
- U.S. certificate of citizenship or naturalization.
- U.S. permanent resident or other identification card issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- Uniformed Service ID card.
- U.S. Armed Forces card.
- Non-driver’s identification card.
- State-issued driver’s license.
- Passport, Passport Card
- Matricula Consular (Mexico)
- NEXUS (Canada)
- U.S. University Identification
- Valid driver’s license or state identification card (not a driver's license)
Secondary ID's that are acceptable:
- US driver's license
- A lease, mortgage, or deed of trust
- Voter or vehicle registration card
- Home or vehicle insurance policy
ID's that are NOT acceptable:
- Social security cards
- Credit cards
- Birth certificates
Businesses and Minors
These do not need any IDs but a 1583 form is required for business name.
Minors will be listed on the parent's 1583 form.
