What are exterior and interior mail scans?

  • Exterior Scan: We scan the outside of every mail item and upload it to your dashboard - this happens automatically for every mail piece we receive for you.

  • Interior Scan: When you want to read what's inside, just request a scan. We’ll open the envelope, scan the contents in full color (front and back), and upload it as a PDF.- User Control: No further action is taken on your mail unless you explicitly request it. Mail is not forwarded, scanned, trashed, or shredded without your instruction.

You control what gets opened. Nothing is scanned inside unless you ask us to. You can choose to set an automation to automatically have us open and scan ever mail. Or you can choose to make an explicit requests for scanning an item.Automation settings also allow you to customize how your mail is handled, such as automatically scanning, forwarding, or shredding mail based on your preferences. These settings can be adjusted at any time to suit your changing needs.

Automation options allow you to eliminate the need for individual scan requests by setting up rules for how your mail is handled. This feature provides flexibility and convenience for managing your mail.

Mail is uploaded into your mailbox with an exterior scan as soon as it comes in. We complete interior scans within a few hours off receiving the mail item during our normal business hours. Scan requests made outside of the normal business hours and on weekends are completed the next business day.The mail scanning service is fully operational and available to all users, ensuring consistent access to mail management features.

The mail scanning service offers a convenient way to manage your mail remotely, giving you full control over how your mail is handled.

We also offer expedited scans in which we open and scan the item within 30 minutes of the request. You can place the expedited scan request from within your mailbox.
