How long do you store my physical mail?

We store your mail indefinitely. Here's how free storage and storage fees work.

We store your physical mail and packages for as long as you need them. Your mail won't be discarded or returned just because time has passed. It stays in our secure, facility until you tell us what to do with it - scan it, forward it, shred it, or pick it up.

Free storage days are included with every plan. The number of free days depends on your subscription. You can check yours anytime by visiting your plan details in your account, or by reviewing our Plans & Pricing page. If you're on a legacy plan, see our legacy plans article for details on what's included.

After your free storage days expire, a small daily storage fee applies:

$0.05 per letter per day

$0.10 per lb per package per day

You can see storage charges on every piece of mail. Just click on any mail item in your dashboard and open the item details β€” it will show you whether that item is accumulating storage and how many days it's been stored.

Tips to avoid unexpected storage fees:

Act on your mail within your free storage window. Forward it, scan it, shred it, or request a shipment before the free period ends.

Set up automations or mail rules to process routine mail automatically, so nothing sits idle.

If you're on a trial, be sure to cancel before the trial ends if you decide not to continue, so you're not charged for a subscription or storage on mail received during the trial.
