To ensure your uninterrupted experience, all accounts are automatically renewed.
Cancel Automatic Renewal
To close automatically on your next due date, follow these steps:
- Go to your account at https://inbox.usglobalmail.com
- Click on Settings
- Click on Account Details
- Click "Close Account"
- Enter your reason, select the checkbox to agree and then click "Close at the end of term".
Kindly note that once your account is fully closed, any mail received in your mailbox will be securely shredded. That is why we advise you to keep your mailbox open until you are sure you won't be receiving any important mail again. That way you can still place a request to have it shipped to you.
Additionally, if you want to have your mail returned to your home address there are two options:
- If you did a Change of Address with USPS and did a temporary one (for six months) or a permanent one (and are still in the first year of the request) you can cancel it directly with USPS using the 16-digit confirmation code they emailed you. - If step 1 doesn't work you'll need to contact all your senders and let them know what your home address is. (I'm afraid it is not possible to do a Change of Address from your address with us to your home address because USPS doesn't allow that. They don't recognize each mailbox our customers have as a unique building. It is possible to cancel a temporary Change of Address but it is not straightforward to cancel a permanent one.)
If you plan to use the service for a shorter period of time, consider changing your plans.
