To start using a virtual mailbox service, as per United States Postal Regulations, you need to provide specific identification documents and complete necessary steps to ensure compliance with address verification and U.S. Postal Service requirements.
For individuals, you must provide two forms of identification: (1) a Primary ID such as a passport, driver's license, Certificate of Naturalization, U.S. Permanent Resident Card, or NEXUS Card; and (2) a Secondary ID that verifies your address, such as a lease, mortgage, voter registration, vehicle registration, or insurance policy. For minors, only one form of ID is required to verify your identity.
Your credit card information for billing will also be needed during the account setup process.
No identification documents are needed for a business name. However, each business name does require a USPS Form 1583 that you will need to sign before a notary. We provide pre-filled forms and in-house notary services to get this completed during onboarding. For business accounts, you can also add names of authorized individuals for seamless mail handling.
