If you have chosen not to automate the opening and scanning of your mail, you can request a scan for every piece individually from your mailbox.
REQUEST A SCAN
1. In your Mailbox, click to select the letter you want to scan:
2. Click on "Scan" button and then click "Confirm Scan"
Tip: Need a scan urgently? If you see the "Expedite Scan" option, check the box to request a priority scan.
During business hours, we’ll scan your mail within 30 minutes.
If the request is placed outside business hours, we’ll complete it first thing the next business day.These timelines reflect US Global Mail's commitment to competitive processing times for customer convenience.
Note: Expedited scan service is not available at all locations.
TRACKING YOUR SCANNING REQUESTS
In your Inbox, under Scans page you can track the ones you're requested but not processed.
Regular scans are completed within 24 hours of submitting a request.
Expedited scans are completed within 30 minutes of submitting a request during business hours. Each location's business hours vary, and you can check the hours from within your mailbox by clicking on the "?" sign in your account. Requests received outside of business hours are prioritized for the next business day’s operations.
CANCEL SCANNING REQUEST
To cancel a scan request, you have two options:
Option 1:
Log in to your account and go to the Scan tab.
Locate the item you wish to cancel.
Click the three dots next to it and select “Cancel Scan.”

Option 2:
Go to the Scan tab and click on the item.
You should see the “Cancel” option within the item details.

VIEW & DOWNLOAD YOUR SCANS
You'll be notified via email when the scan is ready.
View a Completed Scan Log in to your Virtual Mailbox and head to the Scans tab. Any scan that's ready will show a "View scan" status — click it to open the PDF directly in your account. Scans stay in your active Scans tab for 180 days. After that, they're automatically moved to your Archive (not deleted) so you can still get them back whenever you need them.
Download a Completed Scan Click "Download" next to any scan to save a copy to your device. We recommend downloading anything you want for long-term reference, since active scans move to Archive after 180 days. Archived scans can still be restored and downloaded — but keeping a local copy means it's always one click away.
RESTORE AN ARCHIVED SCAN Need a scan that's already been archived? Open the Scan tab in your Virtual Mailbox, find the scan, and click "Restore" to move it back into your active Scans.
DELETE YOUR SCANS You're always in control of your documents. There are two levels of deletion:
Delete an active scan — Click "Delete" on any scan in your Scans tab to remove it before the 180-day archive window.
Permanently delete from Archive — Open the Scan tab, find the archived scan, and click "Delete Permanently." This removes the file for good.
